Local singer songwriter, Jim McHugh will take to the Iontas stage for his 'Pretending To Wake Up' album launch, with special Guest, Peco.
With 2 albums already under his belt, he has garnered an impressive list of supporters from RTE 1 Recommends list to being chosen as the 'LMFM All Out Local Song Choice'.
His third album 'Pretending to Wake Up' is sure to cement McHugh as Ireland's leading folk rock artist as his ability to write a hook of a riff combined with a catchy chorus surpasses all! This show will include a full band line up and will blast out the recent singles 'Dave' and 'Hey Jimbo', all for which have received repeated national radio play and rave reviews.

Jim will be supported on the night by singer/songwriter Peco.
Hailing from Kildare, Peco released his debut EP 'And So I Arrived At The Start' in 2017 and his debut solo album, 'The Middle Ages' was released in 2019. His latest single 'The Hard & The Wild' was released in 2021. Peco's songs have received airplay on regional and national stations in Ireland and abroad.
His song, 'Retrospect' debuted on US TV last year. 'Safe Haven' was a Finalist in both The USA Songwriting Competition and The International Acoustic Music Awards. 'Self Help - A Beginner's Guide' was recently placed as a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition and a finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards. He has also twice reached the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Contest with his songs 'Retrospect' and 'Love Oceans'.
